A Chelsea, N.S. couple is trying to reunite a lost memory card containing more than 500 vacation photos with its original owners.

Rosemarie and Cecil Mitchell found the memory card in the parking lot of their church on June 15.

“Got out of the car and I saw it laying just on the gravel so I picked it up and said ‘well, this must belong to somebody,’” says Rosemarie.

They took the memory card to a store and printed off some photos, hoping they would hold clues about the owners.

“There were beautiful pictures all over Europe there, and there was one picture had a bus in the background there, but it was too far back to see any names or anything,” says Cecil.

The photos contain landmarks from England, Scotland, Wales, Paris and Versailles.

The Mitchells believe the owner of memory card may have been interested in snapping photos of the gravestones of family members in the local cemetery, or at the war memorial across the road.

Rosemarie says there are several people in one of the photos, so she posted it on Kijiji and Facebook in the hopes someone will recognize them.

They have no leads at this time, but they hope that will change as the photo spreads on social media.
