An independent panel looking into how the Halifax Regional School Board handled the situation leading up to the death of Rehtaeh Parsons is now seeking public input.
An online questionnaire is asking people to share their experiences and ideas.
The two-member panel is reviewing the approach taken by the school board as well as health and justice agencies.
The experts want to know what policies or systems work well, where there are gaps and what could be done better to improve mental health and social-emotional supports for young people in the province.
“Getting the ideas of people that are familiar with systems and familiar with the supports will be really helpful to us,” says independent panellist Penny Milton.
The questionnaire must be submitted by June 7. The panel will hand in its final review by the middle of June.
