Police dive teams were searching the waters near the Big Gut Bridge in Pictou Landing after items of interest were found regarding the disappearance of 19-year-old Amber Kirwan.
Kirwan was reported missing a week ago. She was last seen leaving Dooly's pool hall at 1:30 A.M. last Sunday.
The same area was inspected by a canine unit Saturday.
"The public will view several searches throughout Pictou County," said Constable Ken MacDonald. "We're asking the public to listen to the police and make sure the proper information is out there."
Searches will resume tomorrow morning.
