Over $373,000 was raised for cancer research in the second-annual Ride for Cancer.
The money will go towards purchasing new cancer equipment at the QE11 Health Sciences Centre, as well as funding blood cancer research and patient support programs.
More than 300 cyclists rode from Nova Scotia’s Mahone Bay to Halifax on Saturday for the event.
In Atlantic Canada, more than 15,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year.
