A man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a car in Summerside, P.E.I. Monday morning.
The RCMP and emergency crews responded to the crash at the intersection of Highway 2 and Route 8 around 8 a.m.
They say the motorcycle was travelling west on Highway 2 when it collided with a car that was turning left onto the highway from Route 8.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 28-year-old Summerside man, was taken to the Prince County Hospital where he died from his injuries.
An accident reconstructionist is on scene as police investigate the crash.
Police expect the highway will be closed for roughly five to six hours.
