Halifax Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down the owner of a sum of money found in Dartmouth.

Police say a woman was out for a walk when she found the bills scattered on the street at the intersection of Laurier Street and Woodland Avenue at 11:30 a.m.

She turned the bills over to police but officers haven’t been able to locate or identify the owner.

Police say the person must be able to specify the amount of money, the denominations of the bills and any other useful information in order to claim the money.
