Police believe a man who walked away from a halfway house in British Columbia may be in New Brunswick.

A nationwide warrant has been issued for the arrest of 36-year-old Phillip Lyons, who failed to report back to the halfway house in Kelowna in May.

Police say Lyons had been living in Doaktown, N.B. before he moved to Okanagan, B.C. a few years ago.

Police in British Columbia have been unable to track him down and investigators believe he may be in New Brunswick because he still has some contacts there.

Lyons is described as a white man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is five-foot-ten inches and weighs 223 pounds.

He has a tattoo of a cross and tribal symbol on his left forearm.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is being asked to contact police.
