The New Brunswick RCMP are investigating a shooting in the Bouctouche area.
Police responded to Highway 475 near Chemin Desroches after receiving a report that a vehicle had left the road and ended up on the beach near the water.
When officers arrived they found a 40-year-old Richibucto man on the side of the road, suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was treated at Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Hospital and later taken to the Moncton Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the incident remains under investigation.
