RCMP in Saint-Quentin, N.B. are turning to the public for help in identifying a suspect in the armed robbery of a jewelry store in Kedgwick, N.B.

Police say at about 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, someone walked in the Boutique Or-Déco in Kedgwick. He left the store with several thousand dollars worth of jewels.

The suspect got into the backseat of a white, four-door sedan that had two people in the front seat.

The suspect is described as being between 5’ 8” and 6' tall. He is average build, and he spoke French. He wore jeans and a black and grey or white plaid jacket or sweater with a hood.

Police are also looking to speak with a man who was in the store briefly, a few minutes before the robbery took place. He is described as a Caucasian man with grey hair, possibly in his 60’s. He was wearing a black jacket, a red and black ball cap, and glasses.
