Three ice cream shops in the Maritimes have been labelled by Yellow Pages Canada as some of the best in the country.

COWS in Charlottetown, Dee Dee’s in Halifax and Sully’s Ice Cream Parlour in Sussex, N.B., all cracked the list of 15.

“We are most proud that our team of student staff were recognized for their friendly, welcoming and outgoing approach to serving visitors to Sully’s,” said Ryan Sullivan, Sully’s founder and social entrepreneur in a statement. “We are celebrating our 20th summer in business and are very proud to be recognized as one of the best in Canada.”

According to the author of the list, a number of factors were considered when selecting the top 15 shops, including the quality, uniqueness and flavour of the ice cream, the ambience of the shop, the attitude of the staff and the value for the price.

Bridge Drive-in in Winnipeg took home the top honour for best ice cream shop, with Village Ice Cream in Calgary rounding out the top 15.
