Halifax Regional Police are searching for a suspect after a KFC restaurant was robbed Wednesday evening.

Police responded to the eatery on Titus Street shortly after 9 p.m.

They say a man entered the building, indicated he had a weapon and demanded cash. He fled the store after taking the cash register.

Patrol officers and a K9 unit searched the area but failed to locate the suspect.

He is described as roughly five-foot-five. He was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie and pants that were hanging low. His face was covered, except for his mouth.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
