Correctional Service Canada says an inmate at a New Brunswick prison was injured in an assault on Nov. 15.
The agency issued a statement yesterday saying the inmate at the Atlantic Institution in Renous, N.B., was taken to an outside hospital for treatment.
No staff members or other inmates at the maximum-security prison were injured.
Correctional Service Canada says the assailants were identified and dealt with, but no other details were released.
