PORT HAWKESBURY, N.S. - A jury was selected Wednesday in the trial of a 67-year-old man charged with second-degree murder in the death of a Cape Breton man whose body has never been found.
Joseph James Landry of Petit de Grat is accused of killing Phillip Joseph Boudreau, 43, on June 1, 2013.
Boudreau's boat was found overturned in Petit de Grat harbour and his body was not recovered despite an extensive sea and shoreline search.
Landry, one of four people charged in the case, pleaded not guilty on Monday.
Judge Joseph Kennedy of the Nova Scotia Supreme Court told the jury that the Crown is expected to deliver its opening arguments Thursday.
Ten days have seen set aside for the trial.
