NEW GLASGOW, N.S. - Police in Nova Scotia say a man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after an assault in downtown New Glasgow.
Investigators say officers were called to Provost Street around 1:45 a.m. Friday after reports of an assault outside the Roseland Cabaret.
Police say a 46-year-old man was taken to a nearby hospital and later airlifted to a Halifax hospital with life-threatening head injuries.
Const. Ken MacDonald says officers have not interviewed the victim yet because of his condition.
MacDonald says police are in the processes of speaking with witnesses.
