Marie Adsett joined the CTV Atlantic News team in 2013 and has served as a reporter, anchor, producer and assignment editor. Currently, you can join her each night for the CTV News at 11:30.
Born in Wellington County, Ontario, Marie got her start in media working at her family newspaper. At her father’s side, she learned the importance of giving her community a voice and, for over two decades, has helped others find their voice.
Marie attended the University of Guelph, where she studied political science and international development. She is also a graduate of the Radio and Television Arts program at Conestoga College.
Marie’s career and volunteer work have taken her around the world -- from shark-infested waters in the Pacific Ocean, to the jungles of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and war-torn Bosnia to train political candidates and the media for their first democratic election post-conflict.
It is in the East Coast that Marie met and married her Cape Breton-born Acadian husband and was blessed with an instant family, which includes three stepchildren and a dog.
Marie speaks English.
