The RCMP have identified a man killed in a crash on New Brunswick’s Highway 10.

Police responded to the scene in Long Creek, near Sussex, around 5 p.m. Saturday.

They say a vehicle travelling east crossed the centre line and struck an oncoming car.

The driver of the vehicle, 29-year-old Jeremiah Greenwood of Waterborough, died at the scene.

The passengers of the other vehicle – a mother and her two children – were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating, but they say alcohol and not wearing a seatbelt appear to be contributing factors in the crash.

They say Greenwood is the 56th person to have died in a motor vehicle collision investigated by the New Brunswick RCMP in 2012.
