A multi-vehicle collision shut down a section of Highway 102 near Stewiacke, N.S. on Friday.
The RCMP say 10 vehicles were involved in the collision in Fort Ellis, N.S.
No one was seriously injured but eight people sustained minor injuries.
The collision closed the southbound lane of Highway 102, between exits 11 and 12, for several hours.
Emergency crews also responded to a report of a tractor-trailer that had become stuck in the northbound lane of Highway 102 near Shubenacadie, N.S.
That section of highway has since reopened.
Police say visibility and road conditions were poor at the time of both incidents. They are asking motorists to stay off the roads if possible.
