A 15-year-old boy was sent to hospital with serious injuries after he was allegedly assaulted just outside Yarmouth on Sunday.
Police say the boy from Church Point, N.S., reported that he was struck with a weapon around midnight in Meteghan Wharf, N.S.
He was sent to Yarmouth Regional Hospital for treatment.
Eric Latter-Melanson, 18, from Saulnierville, N.S., was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and assault causing bodily harm.
Latter-Melanson appeared in Yarmouth provincial court Monday morning.
