A wayward beaver drew a crowd after it wandered into the parking lot of a mall in Lower Sackville, N.S., on Friday.

The RCMP responded to the call on Sackville Drive at 12:45 p.m.

Police say the beaver didn’t cause any damage, but it did sustain a minor tail injury.

Officers managed to coax the animal into a bin until staff with Hope for Wildlife arrived on scene.

Police say the animal will undergo a full checkup at the wildlife rehabilitation and education organization in Seaforth, N.S.
