A 40-year-old Alberta man is dead after his motorcycle left the road in Cape Breton Wednesday afternoon.
Police and emergency crews responded to the crash on Highway 4 in Johnstown, N.S. around 2 p.m.
Police say a westbound motorcycle left the highway and crashed into a ditch. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for several hours while crews cleared the scene. It reopened at 11 p.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
