HALIFAX -- Halifax Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have information about a suspicious incident involving a young girl. She was offered a drive by a stranger in Dartmouth Thursday afternoon.
Police arrived in the area of Lakefront Rd. and Portland St. in Dartmouth at approximately 12:45 pm. A 12-year-old girl told her mother that she was offered a ride by a strange man while she was walking home from school on her lunch break.
The girl said the man told her he liked what she was wearing and offered her a drive, but she said no, and ran from the area.
The girl was not harmed in this incident.
Police describe the suspect as a white man, 40-50 years old, wearing small reading style glasses. He was operating a silver four door vehicle.
Officers are looking to speak to anyone who may have information about this incident.
