A three-year-old New Brunswick girl discovered the power of a wish on Saturday when she was given the opportunity to go on unforgettable camping trips with her family.

Zoe Morse was diagnosed with leukemia in 2015. Her mother, Jo Morse, says she’s lost count of how many treatments Zoe’s gone through.

“She's had a lumbar puncture, she's had chemo, IV, surgery, pills, and dental appointments,” said Jo Morse. "We’re finally getting close to the end. She's been doing very well.”

When it came the possibility of having a wish granted, Zoe, along with her five-year-old sister Georgia, really favoured the idea of being able to camp.

“I think it all stemmed from Peppa Pig, the TV show. They go for family vacations in a camper van, so the kids always watch the show and they’ve been talking about a camper van,” said Zoe’s father Scott Morse.

Donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, as well as help from l ocal business, helped to ensure Zoe's wish would be granted.

“These are memories this family will have for a lifetime,” said employee Jeff Flanagan. “I remember growing up as a kid, having a camper with my family and going away for family vacation and those are memories you can't take away.”

The wish was granted on Saturday, which was World Wish Day.

“Zoe is receiving one of 13 wishes that will be granted in New Brunswick this year,” said Aline Landry of the Make-A-Wish Foundation We’re up to a little over 200 wishes that have been granted in the Atlantic provinces alone.”

Scott Morse says Zoe will finish her treatment in August.

“We’re hoping to put (the RV) to use maybe some time before that, but after then we don’t have to be so concerned about her immunity and getting sick and stuff like that, so were really looking forward to it,” he said.
