The RCMP say public safety is not at risk after a man was fatally shot on Nova Scotia’s Big Tancook Island.
Lunenburg District RCMP was called to the island at 1:18 p.m. Friday.
Police say a 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is in its early stages and no further details will be released, according to police.
