Police are renewing calls for clues in the murder of a Halifax woman, 27 years after her death.

Officers responded to 2468 Robie Street before 2 a.m. on March 28, 1986.

When they arrived on the scene, they found the body of a woman who had been stabbed to death.

Ann Marie Masson lived at 30 Lemon Walk at the time of her death.

Police say she left her home around 3 p.m. on March 27 to visit a friend at the home where she was later found murdered.

A man was charged in her death, but the charge was later dismissed.

Police believe there are individuals in the community who have information that could lead to an arrest and possible charges.

They are asking anyone with information to come forward.
