The RCMP say a man and woman whose bodies were found inside a Moncton home died as the result of a murder-suicide.
Police were called to a home on Purdy Avenue shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
They found the bodies of a 54-year-old Moncton man and a 40-year-old Petitcodiac woman inside the home. Police say they were known to each other.
Autopsies were conducted on the bodies in Saint John to determine a cause of death, which police have confirmed to be murder-suicide.
They say the names of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding their deaths will not be released.
