A 30-year-old Saint John man has been arrested after a 22-year-old man was assaulted in the city Saturday morning.
Police responded to the Saint John Regional Hospital before 5 a.m. after a man showed up at the hospital with serious injuries.
Police now say they have arrested a Saint John man in connection with the incident. He is due to appear in Saint John provincial court at a later date.
The alleged victim remains in hospital in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
Investigators say the alleged assault is not believed to be a random act of violence.
