Derek Haggett
Derek Haggett is a video journalist for CTV Atlantic based in his hometown of Moncton, N.B.
Derek has worked in the media industry since 1996, filling a variety of roles in several newsrooms.
From 1997 to 2002, he worked for CTV Atlantic as a production assistant and a director.
Derek then moved to Toronto, where he spent 11 years as a producer on NHL and MLB pre and post game shows at Sportsnet.
In 2013, he returned to Moncton to be closer to family.
After working in four different TV newsrooms, Derek spent eight years at the Times & Transcript newspaper. He was nominated for an Atlantic Journalism Award for sports writing in 2018.
In 2022, he returned to CTV Atlantic and says he couldn't be happier to be working in television again.
