Emma Convey
Emma Convey is a video journalist with CTV Atlantic based out of Halifax, N.S.
Emma grew up in Barrie Ont., just an hour north of Toronto. She attended McMaster University in Hamilton Ont., where she earned an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Studies, with a minor in Linguistics.
In 2022, Emma started her career in journalism with Global News Toronto. She filled a variety of roles behind the camera and also worked as an associate producer for Global News Morning.
Emma’s passion for storytelling led her to Global News Durham, where she got her first shot on-air as a digital broadcast journalist.
In 2024, Emma made the move to Atlantic Canada where she filled a short-term digital broadcast position with Global News Halifax before joining the CTV Atlantic team.
Growing up watching the Toronto Maple Leafs, Blue Jays and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Emma developed a passion for sports. She loves to travel to arenas and stadiums around the world to attend games in person.
When not at work, Emma enjoys exploring her new province.
