Halifax Regional Police are renewing calls for clues in the year-old shooting death of Raymond Floyd Peters.

Police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Primrose Street and Pinecrest Drive in Dartmouth on Jan. 7, 2013.

Police say Peters was shot multiple times after a fight broke out in a backyard. Peters managed to run to a residence on Jackson Road where he took refuge in an apartment.

He died in hospital on Jan. 8.

Police say the suspect, who fled the scene on foot, is described as a black man in his 20s. He is five-foot-eight with a medium build and was wearing a blue hoodie and black pants at the time of the incident.

Investigators believe there are people who have information about the incident who have not come forward. They are asking for anyone with information to contact police.
