Residents of Sussex, N.B. are in shock after a local businessman was killed in Manitoba.

His son, 26-year-old Dana Allison Craig, is accused in the killing.

Craig appeared in a Brandon courtroom yesterday to face a charge of second-degree murder in his father’s death.

The body of 63-year-old Terence Craig was found in a motel room in Brandon on Wednesday night.

Police have released few details about the case, only saying he died from injuries to his upper body.

Investigators are awaiting autopsy results.

Friends of the victim say he was an avid outdoorsman who served as the president of the Sussex Fish and Game Association.

He was also a retired Credit Union manager in Sussex.

Craig is due back in court on Monday.
